Well if you can't laugh at yourself then really who can you laugh at...right?!
Okay so Monday night I am sitting in our family room with my dearest husband and I decided to enroll for my car insurance online account so I can pay online every month...a whole lot easier right!
Well so you know the drill...you choose your account you want to use like your savings or your checking and then you type in your routing number and bank account number...blah blah blah.
Okay so I am typing that in and I get to the next line which says "Reenter Bank Account Number". Okay so I am so confused and I say "Babe it is asking me to enter my "reenter" bank account number what the hell is that?" And I was getting frustrated and probably had some cuss words slip out of my mouth. As he sets down his PS3 remote he goes "What, let me see that?" So I give him the computer and he says very nicely mind you "Babe that says "re-enter" your bank account number to confirm it." OMG! That is all I have to say. I guess I was having a blonde moment. I thought it said "reenter account number" and I had no clue what a "reenter" account number was! LOL!
So of course who does he call...my dad first and then my mom. As they are laughing hysterically he slips in..."aren't you glad that master's degree is going to good use". WOW! So then he called his parents, sister and goes next door to tell our neighbor...SERIOUSLY! I was like that is not nice and he goes "look me in the eyes and say you wouldn't do the same to me". Well and then we started laughing.
So it was a good laugh! I made some people's night and day at work the next day when I told them. So like I started off saying....if you can't laugh at yourself at times then who can you laugh at!
Thought you would need a good laugh.
The most "amazing" day of my life!

CONGRATS to my new sister and brother in-law!
Well folks....Donovan Michael has made his arrival...
On Thursday July 29th at 9:13pm Donovan Michael made his appearance to the world. He was 8lbs 7ozs 21in long. He is perfect with a full head of light blonde hair and if you can believe it he had a mohawk within his first couple of minutes in the world.
We are so lucky to have our beautiful nephew with us and we adore him. Congrats to an amazing woman, my sister-in-law, and her dear husband! They both did an amazing job! I think within 2 days I had taken close to 100 pictures on my camera which I will upload a few but in the meantime here is the link of the pics from the hospital.
Mom, Dad, and Donovan are doing amazing! They are a perfect family. Auntie Ashley and Uncle Brother are so happy!

Still Waiting...
Well I am still waiting to become an Aunt. Steve's sister Stephanie was due last Thurs July 22nd and still nothing. She went to the Doc last Tuesday and she wasn't dilated yet so if nothing happens so goes back this Tuesday and if nothing happens by Thursday she will be induced on Thursday morning...which is so not what she wants.
She has tried it all too to help induce her labor but Donovan is just not ready yet. It is killing us because she says she isn't going to call anyone till the baby is here so we call everyday to check in and if they don't answer or call back right away we think they are at the hospital...ha ha ha!
Hopefully soon it will happen. We cannot wait...we are SO excited to meet Donovan Michael Reckert! I will keep you posted.

New Member to the Family
Well folks....today my dearest husband got something that I dont think he expected to get for sometime down the road. Today we said goodbye to his dear Trail Blazer that we shared so many memories with. It lasted him a long time but 124,300 miles later it was time to move on.
So all week we have been shopping for a new vehicle for my husband and not just any vehicle but a truck! Yes folks I said a truck. He has always wanted a truck so I told him we would find him one.
Well we did. We got a 2007 F150 Lariat with only 15,000 miles on it and in perfect condition. I don't think the current owner ever drove it. So I am not a truck person but the Lariat version is basically like a Limited version of a car/SUV....meaning it is loaded! All leather, power everything, sun roof, etc. It is a four door truck (plemty of room for children) and 4 wheel drive. And it even has a cover for the bed of the truck. It is really nice. Now I don't know about me driving it....as it is rather big but maybe one day I will feel more comfortable with it.
We picked it up today and said goodbye to Joe the Trail Blazer...I guess he named it Joe. ha ha ha! I am so happy that my dearest friend and husband is happy. One of his dreams came true today and that melts my heart. We got a GREAT deal and we couldnt pass it up. We bought the truck at Dave Sinclair Ford on Lindbergh and what a great experience we had. They were wonderful to work with and really gave us the absolute best deal! We strongly recommend them!!!
As he is getting ready for work he is looking at his truck. Plus I have a deal with him....he has to stop smoking and NO smoking is aloud inside and he said "ok". So now my husband and I have two great vehicles that are perfect for our new family and babies down the road.
Oh and of course we had to get St. Louis Cardinal floor mats! What else! :) ha ha ha! I sure do love him.
Take a quick peek. Let us know what you think!

4th of July - Webster Parade
So for now 6 years or so my dad, Janet, Connor, me and the last 3 years Caden have been going to the Webster Parade over the 4th of July Holiday! It is probably one of my most favorite things to do during this Holiday...
So since 4th of July was on Sunday the Webster Parade was on Saturday at 10am so I met the gang at Bread Co on Alan off of Lockwood and started with some coffee and bagels/danish then we headed down to our spot that we saved in the morning.
The parade is about an hour or so and it is just great company and a lot of fun. So I decided to take a couple pictures of my brothers and some parade "moments". This year the floats weren't like the years before but the candy was being thrown and the breeze was perfect on such a perfect day. It is great to see those little eyes light up with pure delight as the corvettes go by, the bubble bus blowing bubbles, the beads being thrown, and the crowd just full of laughter and excitement. Some of my favorite pictures are when the boys are ready with their bags open awaiting all the candy! :) CUTE!
We did miss something this year though...my husband! He couldn't come and he was bummed. He unfortunately was working...shocker! Maybe next year and I can't wait for us to make this a tradition with our children.
Enjoy.

Monday Baseball
So my dad gave us 4 tickets to the baseball game on Monday and we were so excited because 1) we hadn't spent time together and 2) we love cards baseball! So I left it in Steve's hands to figure out who was coming with us.
Steve's good friend Julie got married the exact same day we did so obviously we missed eachother's weddings....but Julie and I texted eachother on our wedding day wishing eachother a wonderful day and reminding eachother that rain means "good luck"...ha ha ha...which I truly believe is something people just say to try to make the bride feel better.
Anyway, so we invited Julie and her husband Ryan! We had a blast! It was SO good hanging out with them and talking about our weddings and so forth. By the time the night ended, we promised eachother that we would try to get together more often. Plus the game was a great game and very exciting...we were losing bottom of the 8th but all of a sudden out of nowhere we won 6-5 in the bottom of the 9th! It was a great game and all together a great night!
Thanks to my Pops for helping to make this happen and thanks to Julie and Ryan for coming along.

Finally Some Time Together
Okay as you know I have been married for over a month now and I hate to say this but I haven't spent much time with my new husband. Our schedules have been complete opposite since we got back from our honeymoon and it has been hard for both of us.
I see him sleeping when I leave for work and then he comes home from work and I am sleeping. That isn't a great way to spend time together as a newly married couple but what can you do. We are both very independent so we get through these times keeping busy and going on with our days.
Well last Monday he got his new schedule and called me at work. Just as a note his schedule starts on Wednesdays. Okay so anyway he goes on telling me his schedule....
Monday - close
Tuesday - close
Wednesday - off
Thursday - close
Friday - close
Saturday - 11-9pm
Sunday - close
Monday - off
Tuesday - 8-6pm
When he told me that he would be closing most of the week yet AGAIN I was so sad. I already new he was closing on Monday and Tuesday but I was hoping for some time to spend with him during the weekend.
Tears started coming to my eyes and I knew he was just as upset so I didn't want him to feel any worse so I immediately got off the phone saying I had to go.
Then I reached out to some close friends at work and my eyes just started filling up with water while I was telling them my story. They completely understand and were there for me to talk and helped me get through this on a rough Monday morning. (I am lucky to have such great friends at work)! Anyway, I am someone who is completely fine with doing their own thing and I always keep busy...I have never been someone dependent on a man but SERIOUSLY I am sick of seeing him sleeping and damn I wanted to see my husband. So I decided that on Wednesday we would have a date night and go grab something to eat and just spend time together just him and me.
I got home a little earlier than my normal after 6pm and he was like "what are you doing home" and I think he was happily surprised. We had a great night though but then when it came to an end I remembered that I wouldn't see him again till Saturday night and that made me sad but hey there is a light at the end of the tunnel so we just have to get there....just keep your fingers crossed for this change to happen sooner than later....which I will tell you later so I don't jinx anything.
So finally my husband and I got to spend time together and I can't wait for his next night off...Monday! We just found out we are going to the baseball game which mind you is one of our favorite things to do together because in the beginning of our relationship we were at the 2006 World Series winning game so we always enjoy a good cards game!!!!
For those that experience this...all I can say is just keep yourself busy because I know there is always something to do. I am a big girl and being independent is something I have always been proud of. I try not to mope around or think about it because I know he hates the schedule as much as me but it is his job and we can't change just yet. I know that this isn't forever and one day we will have every night to spend together...which then I will probably be missing my nights to myself. ha ha ha! Just joking.
I sure love my husband and even one minute together means the world to me!
